PURPOSE: To provide a scholarship to a deserving high school graduating senior who will be attending
a College/University, a Technical College, or a Community College.

AWARD Details: One (1) $1,000 scholarship and an individual certificate awarded to a student
selected by the National Scholarship Committee.

Applicant Submission CRITERIA:
1. The Applicant must be a current graduating high school senior.
2. The Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA or higher.
3. The Applicant must submit two (2) Letters of Recommendation, one (1) from the sponsoring Pinochle
Bug Chapter and one (1) from a non-chapter member (counselor, coach, principal, pastor, teacher, etc.)
4. The Applicant must complete the Antoinette Bruce Scholarship Award Application
5. The Applicant must provide a transcript for the first semester of their senior year with a grade point
average, a completed high school transcript with cummulative grade point average, and a class
standing/rank.
6. The Applicant must submit a copy of an acceptance letter to a College/ University, Technical College, or
a Community College.
7. The Applicant must submit a typed 500 words or more Essay on the following question:
Is it ethical in the Academic setting to use AI tools, and how will it shape our society in the future?

8. The Applicant must complete the TYPED application form and email, mail or hand deliver to the local
Chapter Scholarship Chair. Late, handwritten and/or incomplete applications will not be processed.
9. The local chapter should allow time for a review of the Scholarship Application so that it is received by the National Scholarship Committee from the local Chapter no
later than March 31, 2026. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
10. The Scholarship winner must submit a picture of him/herself and sign a photo release.
